Victoria is a Psychotherapist, Counsellor and accredited Gestalt Therapist, providing short and long term counselling for individuals and couples. Victoria also consults to organisations and is a clinical consultant for and writer of on-line therapy programs.
Victoria has a warm and respectful approach and provides a safe, supportive and non judgmental environment for clients to explore their difficulties. She believes that the quality of the relationship and connection between therapist and client is one of the most important elements of the therapeutic process
When working with clients, Victoria uses the principles of Gestalt Therapy, Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Victoria is skilful in assisting clients to increase their awareness of thoughts, feelings and behaviour and in exploring with them how these affect their experiences, perspectives and the choices and decisions that they make in their lives. By recognising patterns and increasing awareness, clients are better able to move forward and to make decisions and choices which lead to living more satisfying and fulfilled lives.
Victoria's main interests are in working with relationship issues, sexual issues, couples, communication, stress and anger management and workplace issues. Especially the difficulties that arise, while trying to establish and maintain a workplace and home life balance. Communicating effectively in the workplace and building self support in this environment are also strong interests.
